How to get to Berne
Train
The John Berne School is located close to Lewisham railway station on the Parramatta Road side. When you exit the station—after walking up the stairs—you will notice the Church on the right hand side of the street. Walk down the left hand side of the Church until you come to a large playground—Berne is located at the other end of this playground.
Bus
There are a number of buses that can be caught to the local area from all over Sydney; the main one would be along Parramatta Road. You will need to disembark near West Street and then walk up to Thomas Street (about 50 metres), turn right and then walk about 150 metres and turn left into Charles O’Neill Way. Follow the driveway until the set of stairs that will take you up to a large playground—Berne is located at the other end of the playground.
Car
The most direct route is along Parramatta Road. At Lewisham, turn into West Street. Turn right almost immediately into Thomas Street and drive about 150 metres and then turn left into Charles O’Neill Way. Follow the driveway for about 400 metres until you come to the top car park. Berne is located adjacent to the car park opposite the Nursing Home.
